Fossil Flats is an
unusual outcropping of fossils and is only a short
hike from the Retreat Center. These fossils date
back to the period when this area was under the Gulf
of Mexico. This appears to be the only such area in
the entire county and makes fossil flats one of the
special treasures of Slumber Falls Camp.
