Pam Olson has been a part of Slumber Falls Camp for over
30 years. She grew up at St. Matthew UCC church in New
Orleans and first attended Slumber Falls at the age of 8
with her sister and friends from church. Over the years
she has moved up the ranks as a CIT, counselor, SALT
worker, and as a camp director. Pam began directing
camps when her own children were barely old enough to
attend. She has directed the youngest age group camp
(Tenderfoot/Springs Alive) for several summers. This
will be her first summer to direct the Creeks in
Creation camp.
Pam is a stay-at-home mom raising her two daughters and
is happily married to her husband, Mark. She has been a
Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scout leader. She stays
busy volunteering at her children’s schools.
Pam considers her experiences at Slumber Falls to be
some of the best in her life and attributes her
experiences at camp especially those as a child to be
the basis of her Christian life and development. She
treasures the traditions of Slumber Falls and the hands
on experience with God that it provides. She can’t
imagine a summer without camp!
